BRT offers a wide range of standard and customer-specified dies. From our Standards catalog, numerous solid and hollow shapes stand ready for customer orders
BRT also produces custom-designed shapes per customer requirements. Our in-house die department allows quick turn-around die changes, resulting in on-time production
Dies are pe-heated before production
BRT features four extrusion presses with 7” and 8” capabilities. All presses can provide cut lengths up to 50 feet
2200 ton press
Weight per foot up to 4.500 pounds
Our 2200 press is capable of producing shapes up to 8.750 inch circle size
Long 148-foot run-out table for greater efficiency and less scrap
Our 2200 ton press is capable of producing cut lengths up to 45 feet (540 inches)
This 150-foot run-out table allows for greater cutting efficiencies with less scrap
To ensure adherence to customerʼs specifications, operators remeasure the cut extrusions for accuracy
Our equipment will cut several extrusions at one time
Extrusions go through a heat treating process, per customerʼs desired specifications
BRT uses an advanced, electrostatic, vertical paint line, that is capable of painting extrusion lengths up to 20 feet
This vertical system is very efficient and produces a high-quality paint finish
Electrostatically applied paint features exceptional durability with strong corrosion-resistance
The 5-stage pretreatment washer is chrome free
Once extrusions progress through the painting process, they are completed, stacked and ready for recutting or other secondary operations
BRT's Thermal Fill and Debridge line produces a polyurethane thermal break that greatly reduces the heat and cold transfer of aluminum extrusions
This thermal break improves the thermal efficiency of aluminum extrusions used, for example, in windows and doors
During the process, two compounds are injected into the thermal fill channel, setting-up within a few seconds and creating a superior polyurethane thermal barrier
Debridging removes the aluminum (bridge) that has served as the compound pocket and now eliminates conductivity from outside to inside of the product
BRT packs and ships extrusions to customerʼs specifications
Extrusions are double-checked for length
Steel straps are applied using wooden battens for protection
Once packaged, the extrusions are transferred to the warehouse for storage or placed for immediate shipment
Once packaged, the extrusions are transferred to the warehouse for storage or placed for immediate shipment. Otherwise, outside freight services are used
